My Platform

I rely on the Holy Bible, the Idaho State Constitution, the United States Constitution and the Idaho Republican Party Platform as the basis for where I stand on a variety of issues.

I strongly advocate for:

*Stopping the flow of illegal migration
*Lower Taxes
*Less dependence on Federal funding
*Accountability to the people

I will uphold the rights laid out in the 1st and 2nd amendments, which are:

*Freedom of religion
*Freedom of speech
*Freedom of the press
*Freedom to assemble peacefully
*Freedom to petition the Government for a redress of grievances
*The right to keep and bear arms

I believe in strengthening the family:

*By protecting the lives of all Idahoans in every stage of life
*By protecting children from harm and danger in every form
*By supporting education reform; Bringing up scores in the basic subjects and defeating the push for social engineering in public schools
*By supporting the rights of parents to make wise choices pertaining to their children

The Right to Keep and Bear Arms

I am a member of Gun Owners of America, Idaho 2nd Amendment Alliance and the NRA. I strongly believe that we must hold the line on every attempt that the left uses to infringe on our gun rights. Whether their ideas include regulations on gun storage, ammunition, registration, confiscation.....you name it. Democrats are hell-bent on taking away our right to defend ourselves. Our founding fathers gave us the Second Amendment in order that we would be able to defend ourselves against a tyrannical government.

Illegal Migration

Our current administration is failing us miserably. Not only are our southern borders wide open, the government is aiding those who are invading our country at an alarming rate. Added to this financial burden, is the fact that many of these migrants are bringing in drug traffic and sex traffic like the United States has never seen before. This is an ongoing catastrophe that simply cannot be allowed to continue. Idaho communities that accommodate people who are here illegally will experience even more illegal migration. There will then be an increased need for social services, schools, jails and law enforcement. This is an issue that will not just go away. If we want to maintain the sovereignty of Idaho we are going to have to do whatever measures are necessary to make it clear to the Federal Government that if they won’t stop this invasion, we will.

Financial Accountability

The new budget reform method is a HUGE step in the right direction toward reducing Idaho’s wasteful spending habits. With the maintenance portions passed, our legislators will be able to more carefully scrutinize the requests of the various departments, asking the tough questions, and making wise and efficient decisions with taxpayers’ money.

I clearly intend to collaborate with my fellow legislators to rein in the out-of-control spending that has been escalating each year. The Idaho budget has doubled since 2015 and increased 54% in the last four years. There’s no challenge in sloppily increasing our spending every single year; catering to big business and pet projects.

A smaller State government is my goal. When government becomes too big and overbearing, through excessive regulations and taxes, it can be detrimental to families and communities. Over 40% of Idaho’s yearly budget is funded by the Federal Government. To achieve less dependence on Federal money and become a stronger state, our leaders at the State level will need integrity, discipline, creativity and discernment.
